Do you already have some customers who are totally obsessed with you and your products? Like almost to the point where you are a little concerned about their bank statement after they visit your booth at a craft show?! I like to call these fabulous peeps, Super Fans! These are the best kind of customers to have, and your goal should be to make them as happy as possible. After all, they are your best unpaid advertising and guerilla marketing team!
Here are some simple things you can do to grow your Super Fan base:
- Reach out to your existing Super Fans. Talk to them at craft shows and get to know their name, occupation, interests, etc. The more you know the more about your current Super Fans, the more you will be able to attract more of them.
- Ask them why they love your stuff so much. This will be incredible insight for you to use when you are designing new product or changing up your website. This info is gold so make sure you write it all down and refer to it often. This will allow you to create more and more super fans naturally.
- Give them something nice. They are supporting you, so why not give them a little thank you in return? I like the idea of a % off their next purchase or a free gift when they spend a certain amount. Don’t be chintzy! 5% off is not going to thrill the pants off anyone. You don’t need to give this offer to everyone, just the Super Fans…and I am sure it won’t take you long to figure out who they are. They happier they are, they more they will spread the word about how wonderful you are. Win-Win!
- Say thank you. Make sure you acknowledge your Super Fans often and express your gratitude. When you do this, it will naturally make you and your brand more attractive, and new customers will cross the line to Super Fans very quickly.
